Every woman should have a pair of....Ruby Pumps!

Good early morning, my darling readers.  I hope everyone has had a good start to their week-end.  It was a rainy, gray day here in Central Ohio and in the fall, that means additional pain for me, but I try to take it in stride and adjust accordingly.  I wasn't able to change my mani for a few days because I'd run out of cotton balls but while hubby and I were out doing errands earlier in the night, I picked some up, so I'll have a new review for you tomorrow!

And now onto today's review....China Glaze Ruby Pumps.  Oh my gosh, I love it!  It is just the right shade of deep red, with beautiful flashes of gold (at least to these old eyes) in it.  It's gorgeous in the bottle and looks even better on the nails.  I even did my first successful french mani with it too, which I'll show y'all tomorrow before the new review.  The formula is wonderful and I had no problems with application.  This is one coat Revlon Base Coat, 2 coats Ruby Pumps, and 1 coat Out The Door.  I saw just a bit of VNL but it didn't bother me because the color is just so pretty, I overlooked it.  :<)

And now for your viewing pleasure, it's CG Ruby Pumps!  (please excuse the mess, I didn't do a very good job at clean-up because I was in a hurry to get photo's done before I woke hubby for work).

I tried a different background this time, my shower curtain.  lol

I think my fingers look a bit odd because my middle finger curves badly from a break years ago and my pinky is just sooo short.  Are any of your fingers a lot shorter than the others?

Not the greatest clean-up job here, but I was in a really big hurry.  Hopefully my clean-up will get a lot better as time goes on.

And there we have China Glaze Ruby Pumps.  This has to be one of my favorite polishes, so far, and I can see myself wearing it quite often.  Do you have Ruby Pumps?  If so, how do you feel about it?

A surprise and nail mail, after the jump.  :0)

I received some more nail mail!  It's exciting to receive a package in the mail and the anticipation you have just before you open it.  I'll be getting more later in this week because I won a give-away!  I was very surprised when I got an e-mail saying I was picked #1 in Lacquer Loving Lawyer's Halloween Give-Away.  I won 3 bottles of polish called Blackheart Beauty, which is sold by Hot Topic.  The colors are:  WTFushia, Party Action, and Deceit.  These come in cute little skull shaped bottles.  I also won a package of Sally Hansen Salon Effects in the Skull & Crossbone pattern.  I'm really excited to get these as I've been wanting to try them for ages and just haven't sprung for the cost of them yet.  As soon as the package arrives, I'll be sure to post so you can see how pretty these are!  Lacquer Loving Lawyer's blog can be found here, if you can't wait and want to go take a peek at my winnings.

And now on to the nail mail I received today.  It actually came yesterday, but I couldn't get it until today.  Where we live, we have a bank of mailboxes instead of having them at our homes.  It makes it a pain when you're expecting something.  The only way they deliver it straight to the door is if it doesn't fit in the mail box, it comes signature required, or it's postage due.  With my hubby working swing shift, it's sometimes difficult for me to get to the mailbox every day unless I have the vehicle that day or it's a really nice day and can take my scooter out, providing it's fully charged.  Anyway, I received 3 polishes from another blog sale that Kyoti's was having.  Her blog can be found here.  She still has some items for sale, so if you're in the market, go check out her Blog Sale page.  :0)

Of course MoJo has to inspect the package before I remove the contents.

The goodies inside.

Wet & Wild Megalast:  Disturbia                                             No idea what brand, color changing

Cover Girl Nailslicks:  Cherry Brandy

MoJo wanted to play with the bottles.

Then he grabbed his favorite and started to run off with it, but I rescued it before he got too far.  lol

If you've made it this far with me, I appreciate you taking the time to spend with me.  I'm having fun so far with this blog and I'm loving to get to know new people!

I wish you a super Saturday!  Huggles!

  3. Emma, ouchy! I haven't gotten too lucky with either my fingers or my toes healing straight after I've broken them. I'm a bit of a klutz and it seems I'm either breaking a toe or finger at least every 6 months. lol

Lovenailpolish, it's my pleasure to come to your party. I'm looking forward to it! I may not make it until later in the evening, but I'll definetly try to stop by.

I hope both of you ladies have a wonderful evening!

    1. You are welcome. :0) I want to give credit where credit is due whenever I buy or win something. Hopefully it'll help you with your blog sale too. MoJo is a good kitty. We've have him just over a year. I adopted him after a good friend passed, so my friend will always be with me in a small way through MoJo. Ruby Pumps is one of my faves, so far. I still have a lot of untried polishes left to get through so we'll see what else goes on my favorite list.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my blog! If you have any advice or suggestions, please feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment!
